Should I paint or wallpaper my walls at home?

You know it’s time to give your walls a makeover, whether you’ve just moved into your new home or been there for years and are tired of the current style. Reshaping your walls, or even adding an accent wall, can breathe new life into any room. The difficult part is deciding how to do it and whether wallpaper or paint is the best option.

Wallpaper is making a big comeback thanks to the variety of styles, designs, and colors available. There’s even paintable wallpaper and custom-made wallpaper to make your space truly unique.Modern wallpapers are made of higher-quality materials and last longer than their predecessors. With proper installation and maintenance, your wallpaper should last five to ten years approximately.

The days of limited wallpaper design options are long gone. You can now get simple, patterned, paintable, scenery, scratch – resistant, migrated, and many other types of wallpaper to meet your tastes. The possibilities are endless, whether you want to turn a wall into a focal point or give a room an entirely new feel.

On the other hand, Wall painting is a time-honored process of developing a space. Along with colors in every tone imaginable, paint is available in a variety of types and finishes. If your wall is already painted, you can paint directly over it if you’re ready for a new look, plan on using the same type of paint, and your wall is in good condition. If you want to change the color of your walls or the type of paint you use, you’ll need to prime them first.

Although the option of painting is simple, but one disadvantage is that paint in high-traffic areas peels and chips, necessitating touch-ups to keep it in good condition. In addition, most paint requires a fresh coat every three to five years, whereas wallpaper can last for over a decade.

Wonderful, one-of-a-kind designs are possible with paint, but it will take a long time and a lot of money to get all the colors you’ll want.

It can be difficult to choose between wallpaper and paint. But it all comes down to your specific requirements and preferences.
